Bristish Society for Cardiology Reserach Spring Meeting 2019

The BSCR organises two meetings a year – a late Spring frontiers-style meeting, held jointly with the BAS at the BCS annual conference, and a focused Autumn meeting.

These meetings adopt a symposium format over two days with specific themes, comprising state-of-the-art contributions by prominent researchers from the UK and abroad. At these meetings, free communications broadly relevant to the theme of the meeting are invited from members of the Society as a poster or as oral presentations. Such communications and abstracts are then published in Heart, which the BSCR's official journal.

The BSCR endorses Heart as its official journal, and encourages submissions from its members

The engagement of students and early career researchers is particularly encouraged and these meetings aim to provide a friendly forum for discussion of their work. Student members of the Society are eligible to receive travel bursaries to facilitate their attendance at BSCR main meetings (details can be found on the individual meeting pages). The annual Bernard and Joan Marshall Research Prizes are also presented at our Autumn meeting.
