What is Ultrafast Doppler?
Ultrafast Doppler (UFD) is a push-button plane-wave imaging mode that captures thousands of frames per second across multiple steering angles. Its high frame rate can improve sensitivity to microvascular blood flow compared with standard Doppler techniques, helping researchers visualize vascular features in tissues such as the brain, tumors, and kidneys.
Use this technique with or without contrast enhanced microbubbles to:
- Monitor blood-flow changes associated with neuronal activity
- Assess tumor vascularity and track responses to treatment
- Image the coronary microvasculature
