AMSTERDAM or ONSITE: Vevo 3100 Cardiovascular Imaging Course

  • How to do a mouse echocardiogram, including imaging the heart in long axis, short axis and apical views.
  • How to obtain images of the aortic valve, pulmonary valve, mitral and tricuspid valves
  • How to obtain and measure Pulsed-Wave Doppler and M-Mode spectrums
  • Diastolic function measurements
  • Left ventricular analysis
  • Image guided injection into the myocardium

- Parasternal Short Axis

- Supersternal Notch
11:00am – 12:30pm Practice Cardiac Views and Measurements
*Participants will practice parasternal long axis and parasternal
short axis views and measurements
12:30pm – 1:30pm Lunch
1:30pm –3:30pm Small Animal Micro-Echocardiography
*Overview of Small Animal Micro-Echocardiography–
demonstration of all views and measurements
- Apical Four Chamber
- Right parasternal (right ventricle)
3:30pm –5:00pm Vevo LAB offline analysis software
- Available measurement packages
- Advanced analysis using VevoStrain and VevoVasc software
