VisualSonics recently added Cellvizio® LAB (by Mauna Kea Technologies) to its line of preclinical imaging solutions. This fibered in vivo fluorescence microscope enables researchers to study and quantify physiological phenomena at cellular and sub-cellular levels, in situ and longitudinally.

Based on laser scanning confocal technology, Cellvizio® LAB functions with a wide array of standard, third-party fluorescence dyes and markers. This versatility allows you to easily capture, analyze and compare smooth-motion video sequences of a wide array of cellular level characteristics and events, in real-time, as they happen.

The small diameter of the fibered probes allows for minimally invasive imaging of deep brain, peripheral nerve, tumor vasculature, and abdominal organs. Mouse lung and colon may also be visualized endoscopically.

Cellvizio® LAB is complementary to other macroscopic (High-Resolution Ultrasound, MRI, CT, PET, Cytometrics, Bioluminescence, Fluorescence Tomography, SPECT) and microscopic (intravital, ex vivo) imaging techniques.
