Drawing on its established preclinical imaging business, VisualSonics’ proprietary technology can enable healthcare practitioners to image subcutaneous objects in the human body down to 30 micrometers in scale. Combining the convenience of traditional ultrasound with high-resolution imaging, VisualSonics has a wide range of potential clinical applications.

The Company’s Vevo system is currently the subject of multiple investigator-sponsored studies and is expected to be available for commercial use as early as mid 2010.
