Dr. Bill Clarke has joined its Board of Directors.
Dr. Clarke is the Chief Executive Officer of Cellectar, LLC, a biotechnology company focused on the development of radiopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer. Prior to joining Cellectar, Mr. Clarke served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Medical Officer of GE Healthcare, a provider of medical technologies and services to healthcare providers, from April 2004 to December 2006. In this role, Dr. Clarke was responsible for oversight of the Technology and Medical innovation portfolio of General Electric Healthcare with an annual spend of approximately $1.1 billion US. Additionally, he had oversight of the medical and clinical strategy and policy for GE Healthcare worldwide. Prior to joining GE Healthcare and from December 2000, he was the Executive Vice President, Research & Development, of Amersham Health, a world leader in diagnostic imaging pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical development. Dr. Clarke also spent three years at Glaxo Wellcome U.K. as Director of Biological Sciences. He has held a number of academic positions, most recently as Associate Professor at the Departments of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Washington, School of Medicine.
