Dr. Homma is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and Dartmouth College. He went on to graduate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Subsequently, he trained at Massachusetts General Hospial in Boston and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC, specializing in cardiac imaging. He now serves as the Margaret Milliken Hatch Professor of Medicine, Associate Chief of Cardiology Division and the director of Cardiovascular Ultrasound Laboratories at Columbia-University Medical Center. He is an author of over 400 scientific publications and his laboratory has received over $10 million in research funding in the last 10 years from the National Insitutute of Health (NIH). He is the Vice-President of New York Echo. Society, and the President of Japanese Medical Society of America.
